2013 Summer Camps!
Camp Shakespeare 8 to 14 yrs. Mon – Fri 9:30am to 2:30pm
July 15 – July 26 and Jul 29 on the LGSF Stage in Oak Meadow Park $300
This unique camp experience is for kids aged 8-14 who want to discover theatre through the works of one of the greatest writers in the English language. Students learn what it was like in William Shakespeare’s time–as an actor, as a kid, and in everyday life. They use Shakespeare’s plays and characters as a springboard into the world of acting. Students gain confidence, learn to express themselves, and experience working as a team through dramatic games, creative movement, voice exercises, and classical scenework. The camp culminates with a performance of a medley of Shakespeare scenes performed by the students on the festival stage in Oak Meadow Park.
An evening performance will be held on July 29th at 7pm
Thank you Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos for sponsoring Camp Shakes since 2007!

Camp concludes with a Faerie Tea prepared by our faeries, who attend in costume and recite poems they have created during the week.

Mentors develop their self-esteem, assertiveness and compassion serving as role models for the younger girls. Camp concludes with a Faerie Tea prepared by our faeries, who attend in costume, and recite poems they have created during the week.
