Camp Shakespeare

This unique camp experience is for kids aged 8-12 who want to discover theatre through the works of one of the greatest writers in the English language. Students will learn about what it was like in William Shakespeare's time--as an actor, as a kid, and in everyday life. We'll also use Shakespeare's plays and characters as a springboard into the wonderful world of acting. Students will gain confidence, learn to express themselves, and experience working as a team through dramatic games, creative movement and voice exercises, and classical scene work. The camp will culminate with a performance of a medley of Shakespeare's work performed by the kids on the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival’s stage in Oak Meadow Park.

Shakespeare is taught by experienced actors/instructors currently performing with the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival.
